Search & Rescue #1

Red_Cross_collieRecently I’ve been noticing some quite specific searches that end up on this blog. I thought I’d take the time to respond to/assist with these queries in a regular feature I’ve decided to call: Search & Rescue. So, here goes!

who plays is riff raff in spring breakers
Riff Raff isn’t in Spring Breakers (2012). But James Franco looks and behaves uncannily like him. So much so that Riff Raff wants to sue James Franco for ‘ripping off’ his likeness. Rappers, right? Such divas.

was there a american hustle movie made before 2013

american hustle i didn’t think it was great
what’s all of the fuss about american hustle
american hustle boring film
is american hutle worth seeing
is american hustle worth seeing
I didn’t think American Hustle (2013) was that great either. But I understand the fuss, and it was an alright film. With such a great ensemble cast, people are always going to have high expectations (like I did). Feel free to check out my review to ascertain whether it’s is worth seeing. πŸ˜‰

did whoopie goldberg really sing in sister act?
She did! IMDb says that Whoopi Goldberg performed her own singing in both of theΒ Sister Act films.

escape from tomorrow i dont understand
Don’t worry, I thinkΒ Escape From Tomorrow (2013) is one of those films the director doesn’t want you to understand. It’s a weird one.

is old romance delusional
I don’t think so! Old romance is beautiful!

documentry on killer whales at seaworld orlando
That would be Blackfish (2013).

judging people by their appearance
Please don’t do this. 😦 I think this search went to my review for The Elephant Man (1980). Hopefully the searcher will watch that amazing film and further understand that it doesn’t matter what an individual looks like on the outside, it’s what’s on the inside that matters!

the song in the beginning of spring breakers
It’s ‘Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites’ by the one and only Skrillex.

Thus concludes my first addition to the Search & Rescue feature. Here’s hoping I was able to help answer a couple of questions! I’ll do another one of these when I collect further wacky and specific search terms.

  1. I love the way the rapper is suing Franco, why on earth would you want to ADMIT you are like the guy in Spring Breakers, he was a complete tool!!

    1. I know! I forgot to mention that he wants to sue James Franco and Harmony Korine for 10 million dollars. His self-identification seems to be worth a lot of money!

  2. I should do this for my one year anniversary. I’ve gotten some interesting ones for the My Little Pony movie from earlier this year (as I reviewed it).

    1. You definitely should! I can only imagine the strange MLP searches you’re getting.

  3. Cool idea! It’s so funny to sometimes people stumble upon your blog searching for the most peculiar things.. For example, since my blog is called “black is white” I’ve noticed a lot of people googling if a specific movie is in b&w, but I mean can’t you just watch the trailer instead? πŸ™‚

    1. That’s so funny! It definitely shows the extent to which people want to do research on film!

  4. Great topic for a post. I actually adressed one of the searches that led to my blog in my Best of 2013 post πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks! I had a big LOL when reading your best search term. What a classic.

      1. Had to post that photo, just in case they come back, lol πŸ˜€

  5. Oh my God, I’m going to steal this “search and rescue” concept from you. What a great idea!

    1. Please do! πŸ™‚ I’m interested to see the wacky search terms other blogs are getting!

  6. Great idea of a post! I get a good chuckle out some of these search terms. Is old romance delusional … πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks! I love that I’m getting a bunch of searches from people who didn’t like American Hustle. Makes my unpopular opinion feel somehow legitimate!

  7. What a fantastic feature! I might steal it πŸ™‚

    1. Late response by me, but please do steal it! πŸ™‚ I’d love to see the types of crazy search terms everyone gets!

  8. […] some more strangely specific search terms recently, so I thought it was time for another edition of Search & Rescue! In this feature I respond to the questions and ideas posed to me via the search terms that find my […]

  9. Love this idea! How do you access the search terms visitors have entered?

    1. Thanks heaps! πŸ˜€ I find the search terms on the WordPress stats page. But be careful because digging through them is like getting sucked into a black hole!

      1. You’re welcome πŸ™‚ thanks, I’ll check it out
