I’ve been seeing some of these lists popping up around and about, and thought I would join in! The amazing Brittani of Rambling Film has created the Favourite Movie Titles Blogathon, a list which was a lot of fun to compile. Most of these titles popped into my head instantly, and are my favourites for a number of reasons; whether they just sound nice, or have a significant meaning in terms of the film’s content.
Here are the rules:
1) Going through the alphabet, list your favorite movie title beginning with each letter.
2) You don’t have to necessarily like the movie to use it’s title.
3) Use the banner at the top of this post in yours.
4) Please have submissions in by Friday, May 30th.

Haha! I guess it’s either Zardoz or Zoolander for the last spot.
Yep! Either Zoolander, Zardoz, or Zero Dark Thirty!
Oh this looks gorgeous! Love that you included Suspiria – such an intriguing title.
Thanks Sati! 🙂 I love Suspiria, have been meaning to write about it for ages!
Great post! Very fun read. I must admit I giggled a bit when I got to “Octopussy” 🙂
Thanks Victor! 🙂 I did too. It was the first title I thought of for O, and my thought process went something like, “Haha! I can’t believe it was actually called Octopussy. Yep, it’s on the list.” Plus the image of Bond in a clown suit is always funny.
Oh man, I love how you put this together it looks incredible and I totally have to see some of these titles. Good job, might just do one myself. What’s the font you used (reminds me of The Virgin Suicides)?
Thanks Davide! 😀 I was excited to do something a little bit different with images this time. The font is called ‘Learning Curve’, and the reason why I downloaded it was actually because it reminded me of the handwriting in The Virgin Suicides!! I think I found it on fontspace.com.
I would be really interested to see what you come up with for this one! I think you might get a kick out of Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives. You have to stick with it, and some people hate it because it can be slow, but I really liked it!
Nice!! Thanks so much, if I do one I’ll totally ripoff your style 🙂
Haha! I would be honoured!
Great list, and beautiful graphics, too.
Thanks so much! 🙂
Great list! I love the inclusion of Requiem for a Dream and Where the Wild Things Are – they’re intriguing titles.
Thanks! 🙂 I really love Where The Wild Things Are in particular, even though it’s from the kids book, it evokes so much more of a sense of wonder about where the story might go.
Great mix of genres on the list. Really happy to see Uncle Boonmee included.
Zardoz and Norwegian Wood are two films that I have been meaning to see for a few years now.
Thanks Courtney! 🙂 Zardoz is a complete mindbender. Norwegian Wood is based on the book by Haruki Murakami and whilst I did enjoy the book more, it’s still a good film!
This looks lovely! Thank you so much for participating. I love that you included Octopussy and Suspiria. Great titles!
Thanks Brittani! 🙂 It’s such a great idea for a blogathon. Have been loving everyone’s alphabets!
Beautiful presentation, great list. You’ve made me very curious about Uncle Boonmee.
Thanks so much! 🙂 Uncle Boonmee is so great. But you need to have good concentration throughout the whole thing! Definitely a slow-burner, but an amazing film.
[…] the 90s classic Independence Day (1996), and secondly, the Favourite Movie Titles blogathon. Here‘s my list, and here‘s the master post with everyone’s posts […]
What a great fun list! I love this, I totally want to do one.
Thanks! You should do one! It’s been really interesting to see which titles people have chosen!
Thia looks gorgeous! I’m actually watching A Single Man right now because of your post — I’ve been meaning to see it and this post reminded me! 😀 All your choices sound great, in fact, and I love some of these here!
Thanks Elina! Still glad you liked A Single Man. I keep thinking about it after reading your post!
What an awesome idea! Very cool stuff, Anna! Although it makes me feel like a bad movie lover because I haven’t seen soooo many of your choices…lol. Sometimes, movie blogging makes me feel like I have never-ending homework! 😉
I totally agree! As a result of being around here for just less than a year, my list of things to watch has probably quadrupled in size. Luckily watching great films never feels like a chore!
Too true! 🙂
