Today marks a very special day for me – it’s Film Grimoire’s two year blogiversary! It feels like it was only yesterday that I decided to make a film blog to exorcise my demonic opinions on film (and occasionally television), and I’m really happy I did. Thank you everyone for being lovely and for reading my stuff.
You may remember that last year it was Film Grimoire’s first blogiversary, and I headed off to NYC as my partner was filming a documentary there. I made a whole bunch of posts, and started a series which I called ‘On Location’, where I found many and varied locations from films in the city and posted some comparison photos between the locations and screenshots from their respective films. All in all it was a fantastic adventure.
This year, my partner’s next documentary project was selected for a film market-slash-forum located in London! So I will be heading off to that amazing city this month, from the 11th until the 25th. And I’m really looking forward because a) I’ve never been to London or the UK before, and b) I’ll be having my birthday whilst overseas for the first time and am planning some really exciting stuff. There’s so much to see and do and I’m looking forward to seeing and doing all that I can.
Once again, thank you everyone for reading and commenting and for generally being great. I really love writing here and half the fun is in the amazing relationships that blogging creates. So I’m looking forward to another year!

Happy blogiversary Anna! You’ve got a great site. Enjoy London — I was there a few weeks ago and there was so, so much to do. If you’re planning on arranging any filmy stuff I’d give the London Film Museum a go. They had a pretty good Bond exhibition going (that might’ve changed by now though). The BFI also have a brilliant cinema complex/niche shop/restaurant on Southbank.
