Announcement: A Timely Blogathon!

Hi all! I have an exciting announcement to make! Rob of Movierob and I have decided to start a fun blogathon for the month of July – A Timely Blogathon. Here’s our little announcement post. If you’d like to take part, and it would be amazing if you did, the details are as below!

a timely blogathon 1

Hey Everyone!

As movie bloggers, we all need to find the time and energy to juggle both tasks of watching a movie and then writing our review of it online.

They can be very time consuming activities, so Anna (of Film Grimoire) and I have thought of a temporary solution.

We  would therefore like to invite you to join in and be a part of a new Blogathon that we are hosting this coming July.

It’s a very timely theme and this Blogathon will be all about Time-saving movies, 90 minutes or less.

You can pick any movie (or movies) that your heart desires as long as it’s official run time is less than 90 minutes.

We don’t mind multiple posts of the same film and when we get the roster set, we will alternate posting the reviews on our sites.

Let us know below what movie you’d like to review and then between now and July 1st, send us a review of the movie (or movies) you chose (to annachmbrs@gmail.com or 90minsorless@movierob.net) and we will post them throughout the month of July.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact either of us and we look forward to seeing what you all have in mind for this fun Blogathon idea.

Rob and Anna

  2. Great idea for a Blogathon! I’d like to do a “7 Films Under 90 Minutes” post if that is ok?

      1. Brilliant I will start putting it together!

  3. This sounds great but I think I’m going to struggle with a newborn baby so I’m going to bow out.

    1. good luck with the baby 🙂

    2. I think that’s absolutely fair enough! 😀 I can’t wait to meet Little O via the internet!

  4. I was going to knock out some more animated comic book adaptations in July anyway so I’d be happy to contribute the 1986 animated When the Wind Blows clocking in at 80 minutes.

    1. That sounds super cool! Would love to have you on board! 🙂

  5. This sounds like fun! I’m doing a horror thing in June, so this would fit perfectly. I’d love to review THE DEAD NEXT DOOR, which has a runtime of only about 78 minutes. Thanks a lot!

    1. Sounds great! Love a nice horror film, looking forward! Feel free to send it across to us when you’re ready. 🙂

  6. Most of my favourite films are less than 90 minutes, so I’m in. By the way, I nominated you for a blogging thingy: https://ragingfluff.wordpress.com/2016/05/30/awesome

    1. Most excellent! Glad to have you on board! 😀 And thank you for nominating me, I’m chuffed!

      1. I already have several reviews of films that run less than 90 minutes – is it OK to repost? If so, then I will send you reviews of The Thirty-Nine Steps and The Man Who Knew Too Much.

  7. I’m in for sure! A good idea for a blogathon, I have a few movies in mind. Would love to take part

    1. Woohoo, looking forward! 😀

  10. Great idea! Will see if I have a moment, and will get something over to you if I do 🙂

    1. Thanks Zoe, would love to have you on board! 🙂 Let us know how it goes!

  11. Sounds like a great blogathon and I would love to join, but I have scheduling issues that would really prevent me from doing it on a consistent basis or at least prevent me from being completely reliable you know? Well either way I’ll be watching and commenting when it eventually goes down! 😀

    1. It’s all good Curtis! It’s a pretty busy time of year. Hope you enjoy the posts! 🙂

  12. YAY. Another blogathon. I would love to join in. I have a few films in mind, but I will decide on what to do and will get back to you shortly.

I’m also hosting another blogathon, and would love to invite you to join in. The link is below with more details.

    ANNOUNCING THE JOAN CRAWFORD BLOGATHON

    1. We would love for you to join in on our blogathon!

And I’d love to take part in your Joan Crawford blogathon too! I see that What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? has already been picked once. Is it okay if two people choose that one? I have a back-up choice, just in case!

      1. You’re more than welcome to do “Baby Jane” as I’m allowing no more than three duplicates. Did you want me to put you down for that? For your blogathon, I have a few films in mind. One of them is a silent film, and the other one a talkie.
